Diluc for example wants to do physical and fire attacks. even if you have infinite physical attack, it's useless if the enemy has 100% physical resistance. be mindful of the fact that enemies do have defenses. those are irrelevant when comparing equip sets since whatever is displayed as dealing more damage, will deal more damage. This doesn't account for your character's skill%'s, or enemy defenses.
which is what seems to be the consensus so far and unfortunately being f2p, it's not easy for me to test currently.
This is made under the assumption that ALL sources of %damage (increase normal/charged attack damage, physical/elemental damage increase, extra damage on enemies affected by pyro, etc) are additive with each other. You know the gist, copy to your drive and work away.
